My Weekend....

Has been extremely fun. Friday I went to Devins house and we had a party with his cousin. Pretty darn fun! Then today i got the last minor alterations done on my bridesmaids dress for my brothers wedding on thursday, it's stunning! then tonight I went to the stake dance. I danced with some pretty awesome kids. They played my favorite song in the world, Faithfully by Journey. It was awesome! Oh and next week is busy! My choir gets to go to the high school on wednesday, thursday is brothers wedding, friday hailey has a show, and then saturday is my troylairs service project and bbq then mindy gledhill!!!! Ahhh! Busy, i think yes. Fun, i think yes too. Pictures, i think of course!

Maybe...

Things really do happen for a reason? I never thought that five, two, or even a year ago I would be where i am now. I've been through so much. I experienced utter destruction and complete miracles all at once, watched my family grow to love each other more than I thought was possible (Even though we still have our little scuffles every now and then. (: ) I've seen people fall in love and I'm currently waiting to see my amazing soon-to-be-sister-in-law walk down the isle with her dad, only to see her walk back with one of the best men in the world, my brother Grant. I've watched  friends come and go, only to bring the absolutely amazing friends I have now. Point is, I have an amazing life full of amazing family and friends, and I couldn't imagine my life any different. I can't wait to see what's in store for me in the next 5, 10, or 15 years. College, a house of my own, and a cute little family? Oh and don't forget to throw in a super studly/handsome husband. :)

I swear it was yesterday...

When me and my sister were sitting in our room playing with our Barbies. Well, she's growing up. Next year she's going to leave for college, and no matter what I say I am going to miss her. (P.S. Hailey you can just pull this up whenever I say i wont miss you!) She's a senior now and is going to graduate in May. It's going to be hard to adjust to not being able to jam out with someone in the morning. She's the most amazing older sister in the world. I love how we tell each other stories from our day on our way home from school. I love our stupid arguments over absolutely nothing. I love riding in the car with you. I love fighting over who gets to hold Peebody first. I love how you always tell me how to clean the bathroom. I love listening to you sing your choir songs over and over and over again. I love your jokes. I love your red hair. I love your taste in music. I love how we've grown to love the same things. And most of all,

I love you.

Have fun at college, and remember, your crazy little sister is only a phone call away.

Well and fifteen minutes! :) And she'll love to drive down to Rexburg and go get a pie shake with you and you. :)

The other day I was searching the internet for something to occupy my time. I came across a website called makes me think. As I read some of these I realized how much I really have. My family, my health, and my wonderful friends. This last week was ridiculously stressful for me. It's amazing how the people you love help you through rough patches and it's sad that sometimes you don't realize that until they're gone. So  I encourage you to focus on the blessing you have rather then focusing on the negative in your life. 

Here are a few makes me think.

Today, someone else’s tragedy provided the miracle my family had prayed for.  Thanks to this stranger, my dad will have a heart.  It’s so odd to think that an accidental death just saved his life.

Today, as I walked away from the airport gate alone with my head held high and eyes beet red from crying, I knew at that moment what it meant to be a military wife. 

Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother’s hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died.  She simply said, “I feel so loved right now.  We should have gotten together like this more often.”

Today, I was the maid of honor in her wedding.  Four years ago she was declared cancer free.  Eight years ago, during our senior year of college, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and told she had eighteen months to live.

Today, my son and I were in a car accident.  I came out of it with just a cut over my eye, but my son fell into a coma.  The doctor said if he doesn't wake up soon his chances of a full recovery greatly decreases.  An hour ago he opened his eyes and said a word I thought I’d never hear again, “Mommy.”

Birthday Madness!

This week I was able to celebrate 3 birthdays! It was extremely fun, especially since on of them was mine! :)

I went to Fat Cats for my birthday party and we got to go bowling and play a round of glow in the dark minigolf. They also provided me with a pink bowling pin that everyone signed, (which I later dropped on my toe!) and a giant bowling pin wishing me a happy birthday!

Then the next day was my brothers birthday. But sadly, he didn't have a party. :(

Then Saturday we celebrated my cousin Gabriel's very first birthday! It was so fun and it was so insanely cute watching him tear apart his cake and open all his presents!
